These sound insulation mats with a flat surface offer unbeatable characteristics in terms of acoustics and flexibility. Thanks to these characteristics, they are extremely popular with mechanical engineers, automotive engineers and shipbuilders as well as technicians.

The soundproofing mats are distinguished by their outstanding absorption values, extremely high flame resistance (fire protection classification DIN4102 B1) and chemical resistance. That makes them suitable for almost every technical area that requires increased fire protection as well as high resistance to the effects of chemicals. Among other things, the SH0011 aixFOAM acoustic panels are successfully used for machine insulation, soundproofing cabins for machinery and for sound insulation in ship and rail car building.

The sound insulation panels can be used very flexibly. Since we work with the latest-generation CNC cutting plants, we are able to guarantee that our products are manufactured to the highest technical standards.
Because of their open-cell pore structure, the acoustic panels are very lightweight. At the same time, they have a high sound absorption capacity and very good heat insulation properties.

Chemical resistance
SH0011 MH is resistant to a large number of substances as per EN ISO 175. Its highly networked structure creates a strong resistance to all organic solvents. Combined with acids and bases, their temperature, concentration and residence time can seriously impact resistance. Therefore this should be carefully checked on a case-by-case basis. For more detailed information, we will be happy to provide you with the corresponding data sheet.

Tolerance
This product is manufactured as per DIN 7715 Part 5 P3. Further item-specific properties can be found in our online help section under Properties of duromere foams.

Strict fire protection standard required?
These acoustic elements with flat surfaces meet fire protection classification DIN4102 B1 and thus facilitate approval during fire protection inspections.

aixFOAM self-adhesive backing
To facilitate self-assembly, we mechanically apply a solvent-free adhesive system to the reverse side of the absorbers, with stabilizing diagonally laid scrims. The covering is protected by liner paper, which can be easily removed before adhesion. The stabilizing diagonally laid scrims that characterize our high-quality aixFOAM products guarantee higher form stability for the sound insulation.

aixFOAM assembly/suspension cassette
A very popular option is suspending sound insulation panels immediately above the noise source (machine, plant) using an aixFOAM assembly-suspension cassette, hanging it from the ceiling using a suspension system. This solution can be implemented with little expense and is very efficient.
In addition to their static support function, the assembly/suspension cassettes also increase the acoustic effect of the sound insulation mats, since they also absorb deep sound frequencies thanks to their “counter-vibration effect.” You can find more information in the article aixFOAM assembly/suspension cassettes under “Accessories”.
There is also the option of installing aixFOAM SH0011 MH sound insulation mats in existing machine structures or housing structures using an assembly cassette. This approach makes it possible to construct a self-supporting machine housing at a reasonable cost.

aixFOAM acoustic heavy-duty film lamination
The acoustic heavy-duty film, as its name implies, is heavy but still flexible. Its above-average surface weight absorbs low frequencies and material vibrations. Even at low temperatures, this film has outstanding insulation properties. When you choose this option, the flame-resistant material is hidden under a layer of your chosen aixFOAM basic product. Alternatively, we also offer acoustic heavy-duty film as a separate product.

Processing instructions Acoustic Heavy Foil
aixFOAM Acoustic Heavy Foil is equipped with a specially developed acrylic based adhesive system. The adhesive system must be used only on flat surfaces at macro level, e.g. sheet metal and aluminium. On rough surfaces the adhesive system can be used as mounting asssistance only. Further information is available in our technical datasheets and processing instructions, which could be send free of charge upon request.

Material options
Fire classification DIN4102 B1 (see Basic Acoustic Knowledge – fire classifications)
The shown fire classification refer exclusively to the acoustic foam chosen. With a few exceptions, the acoustic foam offered with fire classification DIN 4102 B1 or B2 is also certified including the self-adhesive equipment.
Please refer to the detailed listing of the corresponding fire classification in the corresponding technical product data sheet.

Format options
Each of our engineerline products is available in various material thicknesses and in the associated packing units.
