The highly effective SH015MH sound absorber has very good acoustical and design characteristics and is often used by acoustic engineers, musicians and in modern architecture.

These acoustic elements are distinguished by their high absorption values, combined with an elegant appearance and extremely high flame resistance!

Because of their very good fire protection characteristics and outstanding acoustic properties, the SH015MH aixFOAM acoustic panels are perfect for applications to improve room acoustics in sound studios, for sound insulation in rehearsal rooms, cinemas, recording studios, production studios, television studios, discos and clubs as well as for modern interior design in real estate properties and offices to reduce reverberation time.

The acoustic panels can be mounted on walls as well as ceilings. Our precise, latest-generation CNC cutting plants guarantee manufacturing to the highest technical standards.

Thanks to its open-cell pore structure, the acoustic foam is very lightweight. It also has outstanding heat insulation characteristics and high sound insulation capacity.

Strict fire protection standard required?
These acoustic elements with flat surfaces meet fire protection classification DIN4102 B1 and thus facilitate approval during fire protection inspections.

aixFOAM self-adhesive backing
Here, the reverse side of the absorber is mechanically coated with a solvent-free adhesive system and covered with liner paper. Customers must pull off the liner before adhering it.

aixFOAM assembly/suspension cassette
These offer you an extremely high-quality mounting option. The aixFOAM cassettes are made from anodized aluminum, and turn any aixFOAM product into a premium absorber. This option allows you to mount the absorber on edge, at a right angle or suspended from the ceiling, and of course also to disassemble it at any time. The aixFOAM assembly and suspension cassette comes equipped with your choice of aixFOAM absorbers. Alternatively, you can find the assembly/suspension cassette as a separate, individual product in various packing units under “Accessories.” You will also find our aixFOAM vibration bolts or, alternatively, the aixFOAM suspension system for professional installation here.
From a physical perspective, in addition to their static support task, aixFOAM assembly and suspension cassettes are able to absorb deep acoustic frequencies thanks to the “counter-vibration effect,” thereby significantly increasing the absorption level of your chosen aixFOAM sound absorber in the low frequency range (resonator) and increasing its acoustic effect. The aixFOAM acoustic foam described here is always manufactured on an order-by-order basis because of the large number of options we offer. That allows us to provide each customer with a customized aixFOAM sound absorption product that is tailored to the customer’s specific needs and applications.

Thanks to its wide absorption spectrum, aixFOAM acoustic foam can be used in many different areas. Among other things, the triangular surface of the SH0015 creates optimal acoustic conditions in large rooms such as sound studios, cinemas and discotheques.

Ideal for use in areas with high fire protection requirements

  • acoustic insulation of cinemas,
  • sound insulation for trade fairs and exhibits,

When mounting the absorption panels, we recommend using a shadow gap, which leaves 3-5 centimeters of space between the acoustic foam panels. This not only has a positive visual effect, but also assists the acoustics thanks to the additional edge absorption.

Discriminating interior designers can choose to integrate the absorbers subtly into the room, or play with colour and mounting options to use the absorbers as a prominent design element.

One popular option is arranging varying material thicknesses on a wall or ceiling without any joints between them. Both acoustically and visually, we recommend a checkerboard-style installation, with two colours if you prefer, in two different directions.

The SH001H MH suspension solution or a suspended acoustic element offers another interesting option for any acoustical planner.
