• How do I measure my door correctly?

  Measure both the width and the height of your door leaf on the outside, i.e. on the side in which your door opens. It does NOT matter whether you want to fit your set on the inside or outside of the door leaf.

  The external door leaf dimension is the nominal dimension (standard dimension) and serves as the basis for the dimensionally accurate production of your set.

  For installation on the inside of the door leaf, we shorten your set at the factory so that it does not rub against the door frame.

• What material thickness should I choose for my door insulation set?

  As a general rule, the thicker you choose the material thickness of your door insulation set, the more effectively noise and reverberation will be insulated.

  For quiet noises and few noise sources, 3 cm sets are often sufficient.

  For everyday noises at room volume and in manageable numbers, 5 cm sets are usually recommended.

  For very loud noises or a large number of noise sources, you should choose a set with a material thickness of 8 cm.

• On which side of the door should I fit my sound insulation kit?

  You will achieve the best sound insulation effect for your door if you install your door insulation set in the direction of the noise source, i.e. on the side of the door that is located in the room with the noise source. This insulates incoming sound and prevents it from travelling through the door to the other side in the best possible way.

• Can I remove my door set again?

  With the exception of DOORIE Pure Plus with fire protection, all door sets can be removed without leaving any residue and without destroying the set.

  To remove the permanently adhering sets from the door, we recommend first heating the adhesive, for example with a hairdryer, and then carefully removing the parts. Adhesive and product residues can usually be removed with warm water.

  Damage to the door set can occur when removing the permanently adhesive sets.

• What do I need for installation?

  The sets are manufactured to fit your door dimensions exactly and are equipped with practical self-adhesive kit. As a result, no additional measuring instruments, tools or adhesives are usually required for installation.

  Each set is supplied with detailed assembly instructions, including video instructions and assembly aids. You should have a pair of scissors ready to cut the mounting aids to size.

  You can optionally use a pressure roller to press the self-adhesive sets onto the door.

• How can I cut my door set to size?

  Our sets are manufactured to fit precisely so that cutting to size is generally not necessary. If cutting to size is necessary in special cases, such as a raised floor structure of the door threshold, you can use a sharp cutter knife and a spirit level or metal strip to position the knife.

• Can I clean my door set?

  The surface of the DOORIE door sets is made of an easy-care, water and dirt-repellent felt fabric. You can easily clean them with a hoover (without brush or with a soft brush), a clothes brush and a soft cloth.

• What can I do if the dimensions of my door are not available?

  If you cannot find your door dimensions in our shop, you can choose a set that comes as close as possible to your door dimensions and customise it with a few simple cuts.

  Alternatively, we can provide you with a quote for the customised production of your door set on request.
