Wall absorbers are the ideal solution for effectively reducing reverberation and unwanted noise in living or working spaces.
Through targeted sound absorption, they not only improve room acoustics but also create a more pleasant indoor environment – whether in the office, recording studio or at home. Especially in large rooms with numerous sound-reflecting surfaces such as glass, concrete or wood, including open-plan offices, conference rooms or living rooms, wall-mounted sound absorbers are an effective way to optimize acoustics.
Thanks to a wide variety of designs, colors and materials, acoustic wall panels can be harmoniously integrated into any interior concept. Whether discreetly in the background or as a design highlight – acoustic design elements add stylish accents while also helping to reduce noise.
Choose wall absorbers to sustainably improve room acoustics, reduce noise levels and create an atmosphere where communication, concentration and comfort take center stage.
Thanks to the fine-pored, open structure of the wall absorbers, sound reflections and unwanted noise penetrate deep into the material. The vibrating air particles create friction, converting mechanical energy into imperceptible thermal energy.
This reduces reverberation and filters noise. We can then focus effortlessly on the useful sounds we want to hear, reducing strain on our hearing.
The absorption effect increases with the thickness of the material. This means thinner materials are particularly suitable for high to mid frequencies, while thicker absorbers are more effective in the low-frequency range. Depending on the application, combining different absorbers and material thicknesses can be useful, for example in home cinemas and recording studios.
For individual and specific requirements, our team of experts will be happy to assist you with advice and planning.
The number of wall absorbers required depends on the size of the room and the number of noise sources.
The louder the environment, the more sound energy is present. For low levels of noise / reverberation, the recommended amount of sound absorbers is approximately 10% of the available room surface area (including floor, wall and ceiling surfaces), around 20% for increased reverberation / noise and 30% for high levels of noise.
With aixFOAM, you are spoilt for choice. The best option depends entirely on the conditions on site.
For quick and easy installation, our self-adhesive sound absorbers are a suitable option, for example. The cassette mounting option is particularly flexible as well. It can be easily removed again and, if required, can even be secured using vibration-damping anchors, which reduce vibrations and enhance absorption in the low-frequency range.
