Where walls are already occupied by windows, shelves or the room design, the ceiling offers valuable space for acoustic optimization. Ceiling absorbers absorb unwanted sound reflections and help noticeably reduce reverberation in the room.
The solution can be adapted to the individual room situation. Acoustic elements can be mounted flat against the ceiling or freely suspended as acoustic ceiling clouds. This creates effective absorption surfaces even in spacious offices, conference rooms, restaurants or living areas without restricting the furnishings or freedom of movement within the room.
The ceiling also opens up new design possibilities. Different shapes, colors and arrangements can be coordinated with the existing interior concept, allowing the acoustic solution itself to become a design element if desired.
In this way, ceiling absorbers provide greater acoustic comfort wherever conversations, phone calls or a lively sound environment can quickly become tiring – creating spaces where speech is easier to understand and people enjoy spending time.

The required area depends on the room size, ceiling height, use and existing surfaces. As an initial guideline, around 20 to 30 percent of the wall and ceiling area can be acoustically treated. How much of this should be covered by the ceiling depends on the individual room situation.

Neither option is inherently better or worse. Ceiling absorbers are particularly suitable when wall surfaces are occupied by windows, furniture or other elements. Depending on the room, wall and ceiling absorbers can also be combined.

Ceiling absorber is the general term for sound-absorbing elements installed on the ceiling. Acoustic ceiling clouds are suspended at a distance from the ceiling and can be arranged individually or in groups. Other ceiling absorbers, by contrast, can be mounted directly onto the ceiling surface.

Both options are possible and offer different advantages. Direct mounting is particularly discreet and requires little ceiling height. Suspended acoustic ceiling clouds can be positioned flexibly and, thanks to the distance from the ceiling, also use their reverse side for sound absorption.
