This high quality acoustic product is made on our precision machinery according to DIN 7715 Part 5 P3.

During the production (foaming) of this acoustic material different sized pores (voids) can arise. Voids are typical for the material, do not represent a quality defect and do not affect the acoustic properties of the absorber.

More information about this product is available, if required, in the accompanying datasheet. We are happy to provide you with this upon request.

Absorption values

The measurements of the absorption coefficient were performed on PUR-ES acoustic foams from RWTH Aachen. All values refer to absorbers with a size of 100 cm x 50 cm and were calculated according to DIN 52212.

Absorption values WAVER and MAYA acoustic elements

4 cm
6,5 cm
125 Hz 0,11 0,11
250 Hz 0,32 0,49
500 Hz 0,63 0,91
1000 Hz 0,90 0,97
2000 Hz 0,91 0,92
4000 Hz 0,95 0,88
Sound absorber/ sound insulation in the reverberation chamber when determining the absorption values
Our aixFOAM sound absorbers have been tested for Hertz and pores in the reverberation chamber of renowned institutions such as RWTH University or the Technical University in Aachen. The sound absorption coefficients according to DIN 52212 stated above were calculated in extensive measurements.

Absorption values and installation für Bassabsorber BASSIC

Unlike for sound absorbers in panel form, which are placed over a large area on wall or ceiling surfaces, it does not make sense to specify pure sound absorption degrees for free-standing absorbers, such as our low-frequency absorbers. This would not be meaningful or physically useful.

Therefore, our bass absorbers were tested by the RWTH University in extensive measurements according to DIN 52212 on their sound absorption effect, taking into account the equivalent absorption area. You can find the measured values on the article page of our bass absorbers BASSIC. The complete test report with detailed explanations and all determined values can be found in the corresponding data sheet if required. We will gladly send you this on request.

Bass absorber/woofer absorber in correct placement
Misunderstandings are common when setting up bass absorbers. In this article we have therefore gathered detailed information on the correct positioning and operation of our bass absorbers.
